Fully Qualified Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for vehicle maintenance and repair. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any faults or issues that may affect vehicle performance and safety. 

• Accurately and skilfully undertaking the repair and servicing of motor vehicles, ensuring that every job meets the required standards, including the completion of any administrative processes. 

• Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. 

• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and safety in the workshop. 

• Execute heavy lifting tasks as required during the repair process 

• Where applicable, fully explain to customers what is required for a technical repair using language that the customer fully understands. 

• Maintaining a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. 

Skills & Qualifications: 

• Previous experience as an accredited/qualified Vehicle Technician, level 3 IMI light vehicle maintenance or City and Guilds equivalent. 

• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair. 

• Experience using hand tools, power tools, diagnostics and other relevant equipment safely and effectively. 

• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills 

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy environment. 

• An enthusiastic and optimistic manner, taking responsibility for your actions and decisions. 

• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers alike. 

• Must hold a Full UK Drivers Licence. 

• MOT Licence is preferred but training can be provided if required. 

Salary: Dependant on experience and qualifications  

Schedule: Full-time, Permanent position, Monday to Friday
